Craig Vital - Head Coach
In 9th year as head track & field coach. Five
years as boys coach at Manchester High School (96' -
00'), 4 years as head girl's coach at Columbia
Central (02' - 05'). 1 year as assistant coach at
Columbia Central (01'). 1 year assistant middle
school coach at Manchester (95'). Also boys and
girls cross country coach at Manchester (95' - 99'),
and then Columbia Central (01' - 04'). Participated
in cross country (4 years - captain junior and
senior), basketball (4 years), baseball (2 years),
and track & field (2 years - captain senior) at
Napoleon High School from 85' - 89'. Personal bests
of :11.4 in the 100 and :23.7 in 200. Conference
Champion on 400/800 relay teams. Captained only team
to go 10 - 0 in school history, all part of a run of
10 consecutive year run as conference champion(83' -
92'), where combined dual meet record was 92 - 3.
Also, cross country/track & field official for15
years. Married 3 years to Jenny Baxter Vitale, with
one son, Gus Owen, 10 months. |

Stephen Scouten - Coach
Stephen Scouten - Class of 1980 Graduate, best
vault was 12 feet at the 1980 Hillsdale Invitational
where his teammate Jon Vanduzen also went 12 feet,
giving a Columbia a combined vault of 24 feet,
setting the event record! Stephen is Director of
Technology for the district. He has been coaching
both High School and Middle School vaulters since
2002. |
