Nate Moore
- Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator
Coach Nate Moore is a 1992 graduate of Napoleon
High School. At Napoleon he played football,
basketball, baseball & track. He received his
teaching degree from Olivet College in 1996 where he
played linebacker. He was hired at Miller Elementary
in 1998 as a 5th grade teacher. He coached JV
football for 4 years at Napoleon before coming to
Columbia as a JV coach in 2000. He has been the Head
Football Coach/Defensive Coordinator since 2006.He
lives on Lake Columbia with his wife Jennifer. |

Nick Rulewicz
- Asst. Head Coach, Offensive Coordinator
Coach Nick Rulewicz joined the Golden Eagles
football program in 2000.
He serves as the offensive coordinator and
quarterbacks coach. He previously coached middle
school football at his alma mater, Napoleon, before
joining the Golden Eagle staff. As a high school
athlete at Napoleon, he excelled in football,
basketball and baseball. He had the privilege to
play both baseball and football in college.
Originally he enrolled at Siena Heights University
to play baseball, but finished college at Adrian
College as a member of the Bulldogs football team.
He graduated in 2000 with a degree in social studies
education. He currently teaches 7th grade social
studies at Columbia Middle School. |

Randy VanWagnen - Var. Special Teams
Coordinator, Linebacker Coach
Coach VanWagnen is a 1998 graduate of Columbia
Central High School. While at CCHS he participated
in Football, Wrestling, Track, Indoor Soccer (club),
and Outdoor Soccer(club), earning 9 varsity letters.
His senior year he captained his football and track
teams, earned academic All-State (football), and was
awarded Athlete of the Year for 1998. Randy
graduated from Michigan State University where he
was the heavyweight for the Olympic Weightlifting
team. He also graduated from Full Sail in Orlando
with a degree in 3d Animation. He currently co-owns
Dreamwake Creative Services, LLC and is an
instructor at Washtenaw Community College. He can be
found hectoring the football players as the CC
strength coach, teaching them how to eat, drink, and
lift heavy things. |

Justin Claucherty - Var. Offensive Asst
Receivers & Defensive Backs Coach
Justin Claucherty is a 1999 graduate of Columbia
Central High School. Justin received 6 varsity
letters while playing football, track, and
basketball. In his senior year, Justin was a
Football Captain and All-Conference in Track. Justin
received his teaching degree from Central Michigan
University in December of 2004, and is currently
teaching Science at Columbia Options. Justin is also
a championship racecar driver and team owner. In
2004 he won the Championship in the Great Lakes
Allison Legacy Series, and in 2005 he captured the
Rookie of the Year honors in the Short Track
Trucks.com Challenge Series. Justin continues to
travel around the mid-west competing in short track
races, in addition to his coaching responsibilities. |

Dave Hamilton
- JV Head Coach, JV Offensive & Defensive Line Coach
Played high school football at Jackson Parkside
High School where he graduated in 1977. Was
honorable mention all conference at center in the
old South Central Conference. Also played baseball
where he earned all conference and all region honors
as a third baseman. Coach Hamilton started teaching
in the Columbia District in 1993. Wife is Susan and
children are Scott and Kelly . Sue is a caseworker
for the State of Michigan. Kelly attends coach
Hamilton's alma mater, Central Michigan, and plans
on becoming a physical therapist. Scott works for
Johnson Controls as an engineer. |
