AFTER SCHOOL GAME CLUB
We would like our students to join us for an
afternoon of fun, friends, and games. Mrs. ONeil is sponsoring an after
school game club on Thursdays from 2:40-3:30. This is for students who
have all of their schoolwork up to date in EVERY class! |
 |
 |
|
The game club is
available to all grade levels. We will have several different board
games, group games, and more. Depending on the interest of the students,
we may offer a craft on some Thursdays as well. The goals of this club
are to enhance social connections for students within the school and to
increase student involvement within school activities. |

GIRL QUEST OF JACKSON
Welcome
to Girl Quest of Jackson! We will be embarking on an
exciting, challenging adventure for girls in middle school.
Over the next ten weeks we will participate in exciting
activities that will effectively train each girl for a 5 K
(3.1 mile) event. Twice a week the girls will meet for 90
minutes and use physical activity and fun, invigorating
exercises. You will leave the program with a strong sense of
identity and acceptance of yourselves, a healthier body
image, and an understanding of what it means to be part of a
team.Girl Quest is a program that will take a firm commitment by
each girl. We will be meeting every Monday and Wednesday
from 2:45-4:15 pm. It is important that the girls will
attend each meeting in order to ensure that she is
physically and mentally ready to take on the challenge of a
3.1-mile run. The girls will be provided with an excellent pair of running
shoes fit just for them that will be theirs to keep.
However, these shoes will not come in for a couple of weeks.
Please come to school with sweatpants, tee shirts, socks,
and shoes for appropriate exercise. The girls may either
wear this to school or change before practice.
This will be an exciting, challenging adventure!!! |
