 After School Game Club
Dear Parent/ Guardian - We would like our students to join us for an afternoon of fun, friends, and games. Mrs. O’Neil is sponsoring an after school game club on Thursdays from 2:40-3:30. This is for students who have all of their schoolwork up to date in EVERY class!

The game club is available to all grade levels. We will have several different board games, group games, and more. Depending on the interest of the students, we may offer a craft on some Thursdays as well. The goals of this club are to enhance social connections for students within the school and to increase student involvement within school activities.  More Information & Permission Slip

 Parent-Referral for Girl's Friendship Group
I will be offering a friendship group for girls at Columbia Middle School. The group will begin before Winter Break and will run throughout the school year. The sessions will be held throughout the various lunch times. Students will bring their lunch to group. On occasion, lunch will be provided for the entire group. I will notify the students ahead of time when lunch will be provided.

This group will focus on developing friendships, dealing with conflicts, being left out or excluding others, and the idea of cliques. A primary goal of this group is to cut down on bullying that takes place in school by increasing awareness and acceptance of one another. The middle school years provide opportunities to develop and understand effective social and communication skills. This group will allow students to practice these skills with real life applications. On a lighter note, this group will allow for a safe place that girls can chat with peers about topics that are important to their lives.

If you are interested in having your child join, please print and fill out the referral slip shown below. This opportunity is available to all female students. You may return this form to the middle school office.  Parent-Referral Slip for Girl's Friendship Group
