Honor
Society |
Membership in the
National Honor Society is based on scholarship, leadership, character,
and service. Besides displaying these characteristics, members must also
maintain a GPA of at least 3.4 and earn service points for their community
involvement and volunteer work.
The National Honor Society puts on random service projects throughout
the year. NHS meets monthly at 7:15 a.m. depending on the project. Past
projects include the "Snowball" school dance and a Halloween party at
the Brooklyn Living Center.

SADD, Students Against
Destructive Decisions, is a student-based organization that informs students and
community members of the risks and consequences that are associated with
drinking and driving.

Senate
|
Student Senate meets
on occasional Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the year. This organization
conducts business such as homecoming organization. They respond to constituent
concerns about school
issues.
Student Senate members
have the opportunity to visit various venues in order to learn more about
government. They are elected into office by fellow students in the final
weeks of the school year before
their term in office.
