Exercise Classes

DID YOU KNOW?
The community requested a number of exercise classes to be offered. Through a grant from the Hurst Foundation, 13 spinning bikes, Aerobic Steps, fitness mats and stretching balls were purchased to augment the class options. A variety of exercise classes are available for the community.

Classes are priced separately from the Fitness Room. Discounts are available if participants are members at the Fitness Room. A community committee has helped to set the class costs. This was determined by comparing similar fitness programs.

Starting now in the Community Room - Three new classes!

* ½ time is a 30-minute class for all levels of participation. This will be an excellent class for those on a short time schedule or for those students just starting out.

** This class will meet in the community room. Please register at the fitness center desk and then head over to the community room. The community room is located near the loading dock of the high school. See staff for details.

Spinning

Done with a fixed gear indoor bike, this class gets you “out on the open road” without having to leave the comforts of our spinning room. Come ride to some thumping music, and crank-up the calorie burning!!!

½ Time

½ the time, ½ the intensity and ½ the cost!! Come join us for this new class designed for the beginner. A little stretching and little strengthening and a little cardio will get you up and moving.

Body Pump

Have you ever thought lifting free-weights to music would be fun? Well leave it to the folks at Les Mills Intl., to create one of the fastest growing classes in the world. This class will lean you out and make you stronger than you’ve ever been. No need to be intimidated. This class is for everyone!!!

Yoga/Pilates

Ohmmm, Ohmmm, are you relaxed yet? This is a great combination of the two practices of Yoga and Pilates. De-stress at the same time you are getting a great workout!

Kickboxing

Feel the need to punch or kick or hit? As adults it is allowed in this class, and you won’t be sent to “time-out”! Come try an intense cardio workout that hits every part of your body.

Butts, Guts and Flex

You get the picture. Now come on in and work those worrisome areas and gain excellent flexibility in the process. We promise you won’t regret this hour of FUN!!!

Zumba

Can you say swing those body parts? Come try one of the newest aerobic crazes that has been around forever. Latin dance in a class format. Fun, Fun, Fun!!!

Step Aerobics

Up and Down has never been this fun!!! This session is a great cardio workout and is a fun and always challenging class.
