Monday - Friday
6:30 am - 6:00 pm

Childcare Rates (Per Day)

Childcare requires a yearly, non-refundable $25 registration fee per family to guarantee a spot.

Rates are per child, per day.*
Effective August 2008

$25.00 - over 5 hours (for the first child)
$18.00 - from 2-5 hours (for the first child)
$6.00 - up to 2 hours (for the first child)

* 25% discount for additional siblings

PRESCHOOL

3 Year Old Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 am - 10:45 am
4 Year Old Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:15 am - 11:15 am
4 Year Old Great Start Readiness Preschool Monday - Thursday 12:15 pm - 3:15 pm

Preschool Rates  (Per Month)

Preschool requires a yearly, non-refundable $25 registration fee per family to guarantee a spot.

Rates are per child, per month.*
Effective August 2010

4 days per week - $125.00/month (3 hours/day)
3 days per week - $105.00/month (3 hours/day)
2 days per week - $85.00/month (2.5 hours/day)

* No additional sibling discount

LATCHKEY

Latchkey Rates (Per Day)

Latchkey requires a yearly, non-refundable $25 registration fee per family to guarantee a spot.

Rates are per child, per day.*
Effective August 2008

$6.00 before school (for the first child)
$6.00 after school (for the first child)

* 25% discount for additional siblings

Columbia Preschool - General Information

Columbia Preschool  is licensed by the State of Michigan and has served the families of the Columbia School District and surrounding areas since 1983. The goal of the program is to provide a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for young children while enhancing their social, emotional, physical, intellectual and creative development. We believe:

That young children learn through discovery play.
In the importance of active learning.
In providing a variety of hands-on materials and experiences to meet individual interests, needs and abilities.
In children working toward independence and cooperation.
In the importance of process rather than product.
In the importance of supporting early literacy skills and reading to children.
In the importance of the home-school connection and value the parents as the child's first teacher.

Activities: Art, Music/Movement, Social Skills, Sensory, Dramatic Play, Cognitive Skills, Open Snack, Free Choice, Literacy, Large Group/Small Group Science/Discovery, Individualized Learning Blocks/Construction.

Parents must provide a completed health form with proof of immunizations and completed information card by the child's first day of school.
Children must be toilet trained.
Tuition is paid monthly.
A $25 registration fee is required at time of sign-up to reserve placement
